There are two ways of organizing groupage loads. The first one involves direct loading and delivery of cargo without any re-loading in transit. The other one is through a groupage line warehouse.
Our groupage line warehouses are an alternative to direct loading and unloading. In this case, a shipment is collected via local partner vehicle, then combined with other shipments gets loaded on the main leg truck or container, and is afterwards delivered to the final destination by another local partner.
The main advantage of a groupage line is its flexibility when it comes to pick-up and delivery planning. It cuts collection costs for small shipments, and the charge for a shipment is based on the space it occupies, while on a direct loading truck the minimum tariff quantity is a pallet place.
Each of the two ways has its own advantages – the groupage line follows a fixed schedule, and direct collection and delivery are safer and easier to control.
